Role overview :
As a RAMS Engineer, you'll be at the heart of our development process — ensuring our embedded and ground systems meet the highest standards of safety, reliability, and availability.
You’ll work hand-in-hand with our development teams, from securing our tests up to bringing life to our launch vehicles Baguette One and OB-1.
Your key responsibilities :
Under the supervision of our Head of RAMS, you will be involved throughout the lifecycle of our launch systems to ensure reliability, availability, maintainability, and safety (RAMS) objectives of our critical systems.
According to your profile, as a future SpaceBaker, your main responsibilities could include:
- Perform and/or review risks analysis (FMEA, FTA, common causes, FDIR and critical analysis, zonal analysis, process analysis, etc.)
- Write/review the appropriate documentation (analysis reports, safety case, etc)
- Perform and/or review quantitative risks analysis (reliability or safety calculations)
- Define, validate and perform coherence of RAMS requirements for our systems/products
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards (ECSS, MIL-STD, etc.)
- Provide technical support to project teams and subcontractors
- Participate in design reviews/ technical validation boards for the main milestones
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of RAMS methodologies and tools
Who we are looking for:
You're a RAMS engineer (3-5 years) with an ideal background that led you to refine your skills in the space / aerospace / defense industry, or at least, in critical systems with high constraints for their mission.
If not, you're a skilled specialist in your field (mechanical, fluids, tests, etc. ) with a good knowledge of risks and RAMS analysis. Your past experience demonstrate it.
Your qualifications and skills :
- Master’s degree in Engineering (Bac+5 or equivalent)
- Solid understanding of complex systems (mechanical, propulsion, avionics, embedded software)
- Strong communication, analytical thinking, and detail focused
- Knowledge/experience of safety standards (ECSS,MIL-STD-882,DO-178, ISO 26262,etc)
- Knowledge/experience of reliability/safety tools (reliasoft, GRIF, SIMFIA or equivalent)
- Fluent in technical English (written and spoken)
- Optional : experience with system engineering and related tools (Doors, Entreprise architect, etc.)
