Role overview :
As our Supplier Quality Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring that all supplier-delivered components meet the stringent quality standards required in the space launch industry. Your work will directly support the reliability and success of our launch vehicles Baguette One, OB-1.
Your key responsibilities :
Under the supervision of our Head of Quality, we expect from you to ensure the compliance of products and components purchased from suppliers with the strict quality requirements of the space industry (e.g., ECSS, EN9100), in order to secure the supply chain and contribute to the overall quality performance of our programs.
To reach these objectives, your main responsibilities will be :
- Supplier Quality Management

Define the supplier quality strategy.

Evaluate and qualify suppliers according to applicable standards (ISO 9001, EN9100, ECSS, etc.).

Conduct supplier quality audits (initial, surveillance, requalification).

Monitor corrective action plans following identified deviations.

Participate in the selection and qualification of critical suppliers.

Establish supplier performance indicators in coordination with the procurement team.

Analyze supplier non-conformities using quality tools (8D, FMEA, 5 Whys, Ishikawa, etc.).

Lead quality improvement plans with strategic suppliers.

Monitor deviation requests and technical change proposals.

Participate in product design and definition reviews (Design Reviews).

Validate first articles and First Article Inspections (FAI).

Provide quality support during supplier industrialization phases.

Contribute to the implementation of specific control plans based on product criticality.

Ensure compliance with quality, traceability, and obsolescence management requirements.

Apply and enforce space industry quality standards (e.g., ECSS-Q-ST…).

Support the handling of anomalies detected at incoming inspection or during production.

Define the supplier quality strategy.
Who we are looking for:
You are an experienced engineer (5+) with a proven track record in supplier quality, ideally in space, aerospace, defense, railway or automotive industry. You thrive working on critical systems that will fly, and in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.
Your core qualifications, skills and mindset:
- Proficiency in quality tools: 8D, FMEA, PDCA, QRQC, etc
- Strong knowledge of standards: EN9100, ISO 9001, ECSS.
- Ability to read technical drawings and understanding of industrial processes (machining, cabling, electronics, etc.).
- Strong communication, analytical thinking, and detail focused.
- Fluent in technical English (written and spoken)
- A collaborative spirit, ready to work in multidisciplinary team.
