Role overview :
As our stage analyst, you will play a pivotal role in advancing stage development for our launchers, ensuring consistency between system architecture and product development. This position demands responsibility across various domains, including model development, design optimization, thermal and mechanical justification, and comprehensive specification synthesis towards related product owners.
Your key responsibilities :
Under the supervision of our responsible of thermal and mechanical analysis, we expect from you to own the launcher stage environments and decline specifications to product owners.
To reach these objectives, your main responsibilities will be :
- Contribution to the justification logic: develop and analyze high-level specifications for stage implementation and identify suitable mechanical and thermal methodologies for validation.
- Model development and analysis: design, enhance, and perform sensitivity analyses on numerical models to determine the optimal operating conditions of propulsion stages under various constraints.
- Design optimization collaboration: work closely with engineering teams to incorporate simulation results into stage design improvements, ensuring efficient integration of findings.
- Structural justification support: provide critical input for the mechanical and thermal justification processes related to stage structures, enhancing reliability and performance.
- Technical specification definition: establish detailed mechanical and thermal constraints on sub-components of propulsion stages, guiding necessary analyses to meet engineering standards.
- Comprehensive documentation: prepare thorough technical reports and maintain precise documentation that supports ongoing analysis and development activities.
- Testing Oversight: play an active role in defining, monitoring, and leveraging tests essential for the progressive maturation of propulsion stage systems.
Who we are looking for:
The candidate should have a strong foundation in mechanical or thermal engineering with additional specialization or advanced degrees pertinent to propulsion systems. A proven track record of 5-7 years in mechanical (preferably dynamic) or thermal simulation is preferred, particularly within rocket engines or related fields. The role requires deep familiarity with the operational principles and challenges of rocket motors, alongside expertise in finite element analysis software.
