Role overview :
As an Avionic System Engineer intern at HyPrSpace, you will contribute to the development of tools that configure our rocket telemetry system. This includes flight telemetry data allocation, onboard computer (OBC) configuration files, and ground segment interfaces.
Your primary objective will be to create a set of tools to enable data reception, processing, and handling for both commutation and decommutation tasks.
Your key responsibilities :
As part of your internship and in direct connection with your academic training, you will be involved in the following missions :
- At a System Engineer level, work on the requirements and specifications according to Telemetry standards (CCSDS, IRIG) and our launcher requirements.
- At an Avionic Engineer level, develop and test software tools.
- Collaborate with Avionic, System, and Telespazio teams to ensure the tools meet project requirements.
Internship Details :
- Duration : 6 months
- Start Date : January – April
- Work Schedule : Full time
- Location : On-site, Le Haillan, 33185, France
Who we are looking for :
- Currently pursuing a 3rd year engineering degree or 2nd year Master’s in Avionics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Systems Engineering.
- Knowledge/experience in software programming with any language such as Python, Rust, C++.
- Familiarity with space telemetry and standards such as CCSDS, IRIG, ECSS.
- Comfortable using Excel (optional but appreciated).
- Tools / Software skills: Oracle VirtualBox, VS Code, Git, Obsidian, DrawIO, NotePad++
- Autonomous and proactive mindset — test & learn !
