Role overview :
As a FPGA Design intern at HyPrSpace, you will contribute to the development and integration of SoC-FPGA IPs for the onboard computer (OBC) of our next rocket. Your mission will be to identify, develop, and test FPGA functionalities that meet the avionics system requirements and safety standards.
Your key responsibilities :
As part of your internship and in direct connection with your academic training, you will be involved in the following missions :
- At a System level, you will analyze specifications and select FPGA IPs that fulfill key functionalities aligned with SIL2 safety recommendations.
- At a Design level, you will develop and integrate custom and commercial IPs into our SoC-FPGA architecture.
- You will validate FPGA functionalities using our hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) avionic test bench.
- Collaborate with Avionic team to ensure seamless integration into the onboard computer.
Internship Details :
- Duration : 6 months
- Start Date : January – April
- Work Schedule : Full time
- Location : On-site, Le Haillan, 33185, France
Who we are looking for :
- Currently pursuing a 3rd year engineering degree or 2nd year Master’s in Electronics, with a focus on Digital IC Design.
- Knowledge of RTL coding and VHDL test-bench development.
- Understanding of the FPGA/SoC design flow.
- Familiarity with development tools such as Libero, Quartus, etc.
- Experience with FPGA/SoC development boards (academic projects or previous internships).
- Comfortable with scripting (TCL, Python, …) and version control (Git).
- Autonomous and proactive mindset — test & learn !
