HYPRSPACE
POWERING AEROSPACE FUTURE WITH THE NEXTGEN PROPULSION TECHNOLOGY
At HyPrSpace, our mission is clear: to make advanced propulsion technology affordable and accessible for a wide array of applications, from civilian to defense. With our pioneering hybrid rocket engine, we're introducing a new era of aerospace capabilities—more efficient, cost-effective, safer, and sustainable.
Joining us :
Join the adventure at HyPrSpace, where innovation, collaboration, and humor blend to create groundbreaking advancements in space propulsion.
As part of the #SpaceBakers team, you’ll contribute to a unique, patented technological leap, embarking on the full lifecycle development of a launch vehicle. Immerse yourself in an environment that prioritizes a "test and learn" philosophy, ensuring your ideas not only take flight but soar.
At HyPrSpace, your work directly impacts our trajectory towards success, offering rapid skill development in an iterative, hands-on approach.
Role overview :
As a CAD Designer intern, you will contribute to the 3D modeling, mechanical design, and documentation of components used in our launchers and handling systems. You will work closely with engineers and technicians to ensure manufacturability, integration quality, and design consistency across the development phase of our vehicles.
Your key responsibilities :
As part of your internship and in alignment with your academic curriculum, you will be involved in the following missions :
3D modelling and drafting: create 3D reference and preliminary models, as well as toleranced drawings of launcher components and handling equipment, respecting technical specifications and tolerances.
Mechanical design: design mechanical parts and assemblies for launcher development, refine design concepts, and ensure manufacturability and integration feasibility.
Team collaboration: work closely with engineers and technicians to ensure CAD models meet design needs, manufacturing constraints, and integration requirements.
Documentation & archiving: produce complete, accurate documentation for all models and drawings, following company validation and archiving protocols (SolidWorks PLM project ongoing).
Prototype support: participate in the assembly of mechanical sub-systems to validate functional clearances and integration methods on prototypes.
Internship Details :
Duration : 2 to 6 months
Start Date : from January
Work Schedule : Full time
Location : On-site, Le Haillan, 33185, France
Who we are looking for:
Students in BUT GMP similar mechanical/industrial design programs, such as Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent technical curricula (IUT, BTS CPI/BTS CIM, Licence Pro, or Engineering School preparatory cycles).
Knowledge of CAD tools (SolidWorks ideally) and mechanical design fundamentals.
Understanding of tolerancing, mechanical assembly principles, and manufacturability constraints.
Interest in prototype assembly, mechanical integration, and iterative design.
Autonomous, rigorous, and comfortable working within a multidisciplinary environment.
What We Offer :
In return for your expertise and dedication, we're offering :
The opportunity to design components directly used in our launcher development.
Hands-on experience from CAD modeling to prototype integration.
Mentorship from experienced mechanical engineers.
A dynamic, innovative environment encouraging rapid growth and learning.
