Role overview :
As an HSE & Environmental Engineering Intern, you will join HyPrSpace to support the development and structuring of the company’s HSE approach, in a context of space launcher development.
Under the supervision of experienced engineers, you will contribute to environmental analysis, safety management, and continuous improvement initiatives, while developing a strong understanding of industrial and space-related constraints.
Your work will have a direct impact on ongoing projects, while allowing you to build solid, practical skills in an innovative and fast-moving environment.
Your key responsibilities :
As part of your internship and in direct connection with your academic training, you will:
Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of the launcher
Contribute to the realization of a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of the launch vehicle and its subsystems
Help identify and quantify environmental impacts related to materials, manufacturing processes, testing activities, operations, and end-of-life
Collect and consolidate technical data in collaboration with engineering and production teams
Participate in the identification of eco-design and impact reduction opportunities
Support the documentation of results and their internal presentation
Safety Data Sheets (SDS) management
Participate in the inventory of substances and mixtures used in laboratories, workshops, and test areas
Collect, verify, and update Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
Contribute to the structuring of an SDS database compliant with REACH and CLP regulations
Assist in identifying hazardous substances and proposing preventive measures
Take part in awareness actions related to chemical product handling and storage
HSE anomaly monitoring and risk management
Participate in the follow-up of HSE anomalies, incidents, and near-misses
Contribute to root cause analysis using methods such as 5 Whys or fault tree analysis
Support the definition and monitoring of corrective and preventive actions
Help update HSE indicators and dashboards
Contribute to the continuous improvement of the HSE management system
Participate in risk assessments including DUERP, chemical risks, and industrial risks
Contribute to the drafting of HSE procedures, guidelines, and training materials
Support HSE regulatory monitoring applied to the space and industrial sectors
Project quality
Support project documentation tracking and quality follow-up

Who we are looking for :
Currently enrolled in a Master’s degree or 5th-year engineering program in Risk Management, Environment, Industrial Engineering, HSE, or related fields
Strong interest in innovation, industrial environments, and complex systems
Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams
Good analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Fluent English required in an international environment (minimum B2–C1 level)
Personal qualities: rigor, curiosity, autonomy, and team spirit
Autonomous and proactive mindset — test & learn
